nBinder Editor's Review

nBinder can be used to join any set of files into a single executable. Once you start the executable file created by nBinder, al the embedded documents and files are automatically opened or run. 'nBinder' can also change the icon of any file. You can choose to compress the output file, so it would take up less space. The program has lots of options which you can use to configure it.

The main user interface looks pretty nice. It was designed for people who like a graphical interface. The buttons on the right are in fact texts that appear bold when you move the mouse over them. Each button from the top toolbar has a nice picture next to it. However, the main part of the user interface is the list of files that you want to join (or bind). You can add individual files to this list or you can add files from a certain folder. Once you create the list, you can configure how you want 'nBinder' to pack, execute, or protect each file. It's even possible to select command line arguments for each entry in the list.

If you want to secure the files you join, you can encrypt them. 'nBinder' uses an encryption key for keeping your files safe. You can also set the compression level. By default, the compression level is pretty low in order to ensure that your files are compressed faster.

The feature which I found to be the most useful is the password protection. When enabled, this feature protects the generated file (containing the joined files) either on unpack or on run. I must also say that if you want to unpack the generated executable file, you need to use the "Extract from output file..." entry from the main window's right click menu.

Pluses: nBinder can remain resident, ensuring that all the files that were unpacked get deleted after they are closed. It's also possible to set the application to delete the unpacked files at the next boot.

Drawbacks / flaws: Nice looks come with some drawbacks in this software. The user interface can't be resized to accommodate longer file names.

In conclusion: Lots of great features make this software one of the best file joiners. Truth is, I really don't know any other software that has the same set of features. If you need to join multiple files into a single executable, I recommend you try 'nBinder'.
